January 12, 2010 Meeting

We have planned friendship scarves for this month.  The idea is to share your remnants with your knitting
friends. Please, go through your stash and bring lots of yarn remnants.  These
pieces should be at least 5 yards in length and worsted weight.  Bring a variety
of colors. The yarn can be variegated, flecked, solid, boucle, fuzzy - whatever
you have.  These scarves are worked length-wise.  A long circular needle works
well for this project.  The needle size is up to you.  I made my last one with a
size 10 1/2.  Others made the scarf with smaller sized needles.  We will share
our yarn.  Each person's scarf will be different and interesting.  I will bring
2 examples along.  If anyone has a friendship scarf, please bring it to
show.

We will vote for our officers and board members this month.Dues for this
year will be $15 again.

See you Tuesday,
Helga Berutti
